One Inch Tall

This is the last piece I created for Illustration 3. It is fun and brightly colored to give a hallucinatory feel to it. It's a double page spread for a line in one of Shel Silvertien's poems titled "One Inch Tall", and it was created in Illustrator. Sigh, now I just need to finish up my watercolor final and I am good to go!

Working on it

I just want to put up a quick sketch that I did since I haven't posted in a while. This is a watercolor piece, and me trying to figure out how to make watercolor my own. One of the biggest influences I have is the artist Brian Froud, and I am starting to really studdy his work and try to bring to my work, the style I enjoy seeing in his work. Well, I hope you like! I will post more latter, but as many of you know, finals can really take a lot out of you, and right now, I am just trying to push through.

This is a couple of pieces that I have done, just for fun. I am quickly liking digital stuff, and making it my own. ENJOY!

rose...

Colorful!

This next set are some digital figure drawings that I have done after doing rougher versions with pastel in figure drawing class. I like them, and may make changes to some of them, like I did with the one with the striped shirt. There is a previous post of this one, with the skin color as grey. I decided I didn't like that look, and went for what you see now.

Fine Art

These are a few oil paintings I did last semester. Some are in class paintings and some are completed homework projects. I like them all for what they are, and hope you like them too!

Ele Family

This is one of my favorite illustrations I have done. This piece is a couple years old, and I still love revisiting it. I think you know when a painting is truly successful, is when each time you look at it, it evokes an emotion that enhances your experince with the piece. The only time this isn't true is when the emotion is to the tune of "God! I hate this piece of crap! Uhg! I want to burn it!" But even in that situation, I just toss it aside and hide it in the closet somewhere.
